Businesses have the ability to make a difference. At our First Annual Celebration of Excellence we were proud to honor those remarkable entrepreneurs, businesses and community leaders who have achieved success and inspired others to excel.

We thought that if you sent us 100 nominations for our Celebration of Excellence Award, we would have had a tremendous success. We thought that if 50 nominees sent in their applications for the judging panel to review, we would have hit a home run. By more than doubling our expected response, you have made our job significantly more difficult, and we couldn't be more pleased.
The tremendous response we have received to our Celebration of Excellence means that so many of you have not only noticed someone who is deserving of public recognition for a job well done, but you have taken the precious time out of your daily activities to do something that ensures the recognition is received.
Because of you, more than 800 people gathered at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on the night of November 13 to celebrate our award winners, our nominees, and the rich tradition of hard work and determination that is thriving all around us. We heard Theo Epstein, General Manager of the Boston Red Sox, deliver the keynote address. And we were humbled by the collective greatness that we are so fortunate to experience.
