Peter Rayno named Community Banker of the Year by NH Bankers Association

Peter Rayno, NH Community Banking and Lending Director/EVP, was recently recognized by the New Hampshire Bankers Association as the 2018 Community Banker of the Year.

For the past 24 years, the NHBA award has "honored a New Hampshire bank employee who has gone beyond the course of ordinary business to help improve the State of New Hampshire through civic and community engagement.  Recipients are respected industry professionals who have made a significant impact on those around them by inspiring others to become involved in community service."

Enterprise Bank CEO Jack Clancy said, “Peter is incredibly deserving of this prestigious recognition – his heart and soul embody what this award recognizes.  Peter's commitment in supporting the community never wavers and like Enterprise Bank, it is a part of his DNA.”

Peter is recognized as a true champion of New Hampshire, leading Enterprise Bank’s continued growth, branch expansion, and community leadership and involvement efforts across Southern NH.  Ever passionate about community service and volunteerism, Peter currently serves on the Board of Directors of New Hampshire PBS, Greater Salem Rotary Club, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, and Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce. He has also been actively involved in Salem Budget Committee, Regional Economic Development Center (REDC), and Central Catholic High School (Lawrence, MA).

In his role at Enterprise Bank and in his years with the Regional Economic Development Center, Peter has played a critical role in the region's economic development and job creation. He serves as a champion of small businesses and start-ups, seeking opportunities to finance small businesses that otherwise would not have access to necessary capital. Under his leadership, Enterprise Bank has been recognized by the New Hampshire Office of the SBA as the SBA 504 Lender of the Year for four consecutive years.

Peter also plays an important role in mentoring future community leaders, inspiring fellow team members to not only serve as ethical and hardworking bankers, but also to donate their time and expertise to the nonprofits and charitable organizations they are most passionate about.

In August, the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce announced Peter as the recipient of the 2018 William A. Brown Distinguished Businessperson Award, the group’s most prestigious award. The Brown Award is given based on business leadership, community improvement, charitable involvement, public service, and character.
