Want to speak with an Enterprise Banker?

Security is our number one priority at Enterprise Bank. We are strongly committed to protecting the security and confidentiality of your account information. At Enterprise Bank, we use a combination of methods to provide for secure online banking sessions.

  • Anti-Virus Software

You should install anti-virus software on your computer and run a network scan frequently with your anti-virus software to detect and remove questionable files.

If you do not wish to install an anti-virus software on your computer or if you wish to further add to your computer's security posture then you may download the free IBM® Security Trusteer Rapport security software tool offered by Enterprise Bank to its online banking customers IBM® Security Trusteer Rapport

Note: By downloading and installing IBM® Security Trusteer Rapport security software you agree with all Trusteer terms and conditions. Enterprise Bank is not responsible for, nor do we guarantee, the content or services associated with this product. All problems, questions or concerns regarding Trusteer Rapport security software should be directed to support@trusteer.com

  • Authentication

Enterprise Bank will authenticate using various techniques and levels of security. Each time you log into Online Banking, a unique session will be created. You will authenticate by first entering your unique login ID. The system will then further authenticate you using multifactor authentication or mutilayered security. Multifactor authentication utilizes more than one factor during the authentication process. These factors could include something you know (e.g., Password, PIN); something you are ( e.g., biometric characteristic), and something you have (e.g., PC, Token). Multilayered security uses one factor multiple times during the authentication process such as asking you to answer a security question and then requesting a your password. The bank encourages you to never use a password that can be easily associated with you personally (i.e., your phone number, date of birth, etc). In addition, DO NOT share your online Banking password or security questions and answers with anyone you do not want to have access to your accounts. If you suspect an unauthorized person has obtained your password, please contact us immediately to change it.

  • Confidential Information

If you send an email to Enterprise Bank, DO NOT include personal or account information. Email sent via the Internet is potentially able to be read in transit by others. In general, be careful of any Internet site with which you are not familiar. Avoid sending information such as your Social Security Number, credit card numbers or bank account information unless you are in a secure site like Online Banking. When visiting unfamiliar web sites, be particularly aware of small windows that may randomly appear on the screen, If you are not comfortable with a newly created window, close it immediately. The safest next step would be to exit or restart your browser.

  • Browser Security

We recommend that you use the latest version of your chosen internet browser. It is important to keep your security settings and any add-on software up to date. In certain circumstances, we may need to block certain browsers and software from accessing Online Banking and Mobile Banking due to possible security risks and may not be able to inform you in advance.

  • Identity Theft Awareness

At Enterprise Bank, we are committed today more than ever to provide the highest level of security and privacy when it comes to your personal information. At the same time, you can feel confident that we are always accessible and responsive to assist you with any immediate need. As part of this effort, we feel that it's in your best interest to keep you abreast of information pertaining to one newsworthy issue at hand - the increase in Identity Theft and Email/Website Fraud.

Our mission is to help protect you against crimes such as Identity Theft and Website Fraud (Phishing) that are specifically targeted to consumers. With the rising number of people being affected by this criminal activity, the following information is being provided for the purpose of maintaining your safety and security.

Enterprise Bank is required to provide you with pertinent information to help protect you from becoming a victim of Identity Theft and what to do should you become one. Identity Theft occurs when someone uses your personal information such as, your name, Social Security number, credit card number or other identifying information, without your permission. One common form of identity theft is generated through an email known as "Phishing." In a Phishing scam, a consumer receives an email requesting that they provide and verify personal and financial information on a fraudulent website. This so-called website will resemble the website of a legitimate organization, but any information entered on this site is filtered to the identity thieves who created the scam for use in committing further fraud and crimes.

Note: Please be aware that Enterprise will never contact you to request or verify information about account numbers, PIN's, login ID's, passwords or any other personal information regarding your accounts. To gain a more in-depth knowledge of Identity Theft, Phishing and related information, please refer to the following Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and other applicable websites.

Mobile banking is a great tool to conveniently access your account information and process transactions. To protect your information while using a mobile device we recommend the following tips:

    1. Create a strong password that is required to unlock your phone.
    2. Make sure your phone is set to automatically lock when it has not been used for a specified period of time.
    3. Keep your operating system and apps up-to-date. These updates are important for keeping your device current with all of the latest security enhancements.
    4. Use anti-malware software and do not "jailbreak" or "root" your mobile device.
    5. Don't conduct financial transactions or view sensitive data over an unsecured Wi-Fi connection.
    6. Don't respond to calls, voice mails or text messages from numbers you don't recognize

  • Online Banking Security

We use state-of-the-art technology to ensure that your banking sessions are secure and we will never ask for your online banking password. With Enterprise Bank's Online Banking, you can bank with the same confidence you have when using Mobile Banking, Voice Banking, our branches, and our ATMs.

To help protect your information while using online banking we recommend the following tips:

    • Practice Good Password Habits. A strong password is at least 12 characters long. Having separate passwords for every account helps to thwart cybercriminals. Don’t share your passwords or write them down. Update your passwords periodically, or consider using a Password Manager.
    • Set up security alerts to notify you of large transactions, balance fluctuations and security changes.
    • Keep Software Current on Your Devices: Having the latest security software, web browser and operating system is the best defense against viruses, malware and other online threats.
    • Avoid Using Public Unsecured Wireless Networks
  • Real Time Alerts

Real Time Alerts allow you to Monitor your accounts and be alerted to changes as they happen. Mitigate fraud by receiving alerts for transactions and security changes within Personal Online Banking and Mobile Banking.

Choose the alerts that matter to you and how you would like to be notified (email, text/SMS notification, or via the Enterprise Bank Mobile Banking app). The system will send an alert when transactions, payments, or balance  occur based on the alerts chosen.

  • Security for your Business Accounts

Corporate Account Takeover is a form of identity theft in which criminals gain control over a business' bank account in order to initiate fraudulent transactions. Businesses of all types and sizes are targeted by cyber criminals as they traditionally carry higher balances than retail accounts. Business employees are often targeted and unknowingly providing their access credentials by clicking on malicious links or infected attachments within emails. The following business practices can help you protect your company:

    • Review and reconcile your accounts daily.
    • Educate your employees about cybercrimes. Make sure employees understand the risks related to internet banking and identity theft.
    • Use multiple layers of system security. Utilize firewalls, anti-malware tools such as IBM® Security Trusteer Rapport and keep all computer software up to date.
    • Establish separate user accounts for each employee accessing financial information and limit administrative rights. Restrict online banking access to specified times and designated computers.
    • Confirm that strong passwords are being used and are not written down.
    • Use dual-control approval tools for cash management. Require two people to issue a payment, one to set up the transaction and a second to approve. Consider requiring CEO/owner’s approval for transactions over a specified dollar threshold.
    • Manage the security of online banking with a single, dedicated computer used exclusively for online banking and cash management. This computer should not be connected to your business network, should not retrieve any email messages, and should not be used for any online purpose except banking.
    • Stay informed on the latest trends and methods of cyber fraud. This will help you identify and prevent security incidents before they happen.
    • Create an incident response plan for steps to take should a security event occur. The plan should include notifying employees, financial institutions, insurance providers, credit agencies, and law enforcement. Work with computer forensic specialists to review and safeguard appropriate equipment. Once your equipment and accounts are secure, change all appropriate passwords.
  • Timed Logoff

If you leave your computer unattended or forget to exit when you have completed your secure online banking session, Enterprise Bank will automatically terminate your session after a sustained period of inactivity. When you are finished using Online Banking, be sure to log off the system before visiting other web sites. If other people have access to your computer, clear your browser's cache in order to remove copies of web pages that may have been stored temporarily on your system. Refer to your browser's Help file for instructions in clearing your cache.
