Wrapping our community in warmth

Scarf collections during December will help keep our community warm this winter. From December 1 through 31, Enterprise Bank will collect scarves at the Lowell, Mass., and Hudson and Nashua, New Hampshire branches. At the end of the collection period the scarves will be distributed to those in need in our community.

Any type of scarf in good, usable condition can be donated – fabric, yarn, fleece, purchased or homemade are all welcome. Those who knit and crochet and have yarn on hand are invited to create scarves for the program. The following branches will have scarf collection boxes:

Nashua – 88 Main Street and 493 Amherst Street

     Hudson – 45 Lowell Road

Lowell – 222 Merrimack Street and 430 Gorham Street

Modeled after scarf programs in other cities, the scarves will be tied to trees and park benches in public parks and other accessible areas in Lowell and Nashua and available to anyone who needs one. If enough scarves are collected, they will also be distributed at shelters in the Nashua and Lowell areas with the assistance of The United Way.
