Thanks for Another Belle of the Ball Success!

Enterprise Bank proudly joined Anton’s Cleaners and Jordan’s Furniture once again as a corporate partner and sponsor for the annual Belle of the Ball prom dress collection program. Thanks to your inspiring and overwhelming generosity, we collected more than 800 gowns for the program this year. Together, we were able to help make attending the prom less stressful for hundreds of high school students in our region.

Collection boxes were placed in all 27 Enterprise Bank branch locations and buildings within the Lowell Campus during February and March. The donated gowns are professionally cleaned by Anton’s Cleaners and distributed at no charge to high school junior and senior girls from more than 200 participating schools throughout MA and NH who could not otherwise afford to attend their school’s prom.

On Boutique Day, the event where the magic happens for the students, a team of 40 Enterprise Bankers were among the 500 volunteers who helped make the day a success. In addition, leading up to the event, Bank volunteers unboxed and organized shoes, assembled personal care goody bags for Boutique Day attendees, and set up and organized displays of thousands of gowns in all sizes and colors, plus shoes, purses, and accessories at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston the day before the event.

This year’s Boutique Day was held on Saturday, April 6. Volunteers served as personal shoppers to help students to choose their prom dresses and guide them through the experience of picking out their accessories. Volunteers helped to distribute shoes, purses, and jewelry to the 1,200 students attending the invitation-only event.

Alison Burns, Enterprise Bank Community Relations and Customer Experience Officer, SVP, and member of the Caring Partners Board, said, “Boutique Day is a success due to all the amazing volunteers who assist with making the day happen. The joy on the faces of the students as they walk down the red carpet in their prom attire is amazing. So many Belles of the Ball!  The energy is always incredible, and everyone is smiling and radiant. This community effort aligns perfectly with our founding mission to help create vibrant, prosperous communities and we are proud to be part of it.”

Since the program’s inception in 2005, nearly 77,000 prom gowns have been collected and cleaned for local students in need. The program has grown from outfitting fewer than 100 girls to inviting more than 1,800 young ladies to Boutique Day.  For more information about Belle of the Ball, visit http://antons.com/belle/.
